Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization, carrying out our mission to foster environmental and community stewardship throughout Omaha each day. We work with more than 6,000 volunteers a year, ranging in ages, abilities, passions, backgrounds, and motivations.

If you'd like to join our movement of dedicated volunteers serving the community and environment around them, visit our Get Involved page.

Volunteer Group of the Month

Our Volunteer Group of the Month is Cub Scouts Pack 492!

Cub Scouts Pack 492 joined our Adopt-a-Park program in February 2019, eager to adopt Peterson Park. Over the course of the year, they have put in a total of 186 volunteer hours and have picked up 23 bags of litter from the park. This group of dedicated scouts and parents have embraced their role as caretakers of the park, pulling weeds, picking up fallen branches, and cleaning sand off of the sidewalks. We appreciate Cub Scout Pack 492, their engagement in the community and passion for caring for the environment is making a difference and leading the way for change in our city.

Thank you to our Trees for Omaha program sponsors
